Meet Our Founder Angele Satariano

Hi, I’m Angele Satariano. I founded Active Spirit Community in 2015 and since then I’ve supported many people to take control of their health and fitness!

I was introduced to sport as a kid but then had a few lazy teenage years which saw me piling on weight and eating junk most of the time. The unhealthy lifestyle made me unhappy and that’s when I decided to change my life around. I started exercising slowly and eating healthy. Over a period of 7-8 months I built up my fitness and with the continued focus on good nutrition, I managed to achieve a healthy weight for my body and was so much happier and more confident. I haven’t looked back since! I still proudly reflect on that time and admire at how when I was 17 I was capable of making such healthy changes to my life. I never looked for a quick fix. I never starved myself. I only did what I felt was healthy for my body.

Over the years, weight training has helped me immensely. I started weight training 10 years ago and I’ve seen my body get so much stronger. I love how capable I am to lift heavy stuff in everyday life and even though aesthetics aren’t the most important thing in life, I do enjoy looking toned and strong!

After 8 years at a desk job I know how difficult it can be to eat healthy and be active. My main mission is to show people that this way of living needs to be an ongoing lifestyle and it can be fun and very rewarding when done the right way! Fitness isn’t a punishment, it’s a blessing. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be depriving and we can enjoy all types of food whilst still maintaining our health! That’s why I created Active Spirit – as a means for people to be able to train, be healthy and get strong in a fun and exciting way, helping them to maintain it in the long-run and fall in love with the process!
